Tatoo.

Tatoo design I'm working on for someone. I'd love some feedback on it.

I don't know where the idea for these sketches came from. Just something made me think that drawing various diffrent types of religious figures might be interesting. It also gave me the chance to experiment with diffrent face types. I do worry sometimes that my way of drawing people is to formula driven.

I sold this piece last fall at CSUN for a small sum.

Honestly I've always had a problem with painting in wet media, I think this may be my only truely succesful (non pastel) painting. I have to work on that.

Life drawing at Laafa on Friday night, it's rare that I get the chance to sit for a single life drawing pose that lasts for more than 20 minutes. It's a shame I think I'd like to do this more often.

Self portraits.

Isn't it interesting how many begining drawing classes have you do a self portrait at the start of the semester? Self portraits are always fun an they're a great way to see how someone feels about themselves, and they're always good for a laugh.

This one was done in July 2004 when I took a Summer class at my community college. The pictures were all put up and the instructor turned it into a game to see if we could guess who was who. I was the only black dude in the class so needless to say nobody strained their brain trying to pick me out.

This is one of my favorite pictures because I really played around with weird expressions. I figured that if I had to look at myself for several hours (as was required by the teacher) I might as well have fun with it.
